The Zillertal Dairy - Overview

The Zillertal Dairy is a private enterprise, owned and managed by the Kröll family. Heinz Kröll, a trained restauranteur, joined his father in law's company about 20 years ago. In 1993 he took over the management of the Zillertal Dairy. His son Christian, who has learnt the dairy trade from scratch, is responsible in the business for quality control.

In 1998 the construction work began to build a new dairy on the outskirts of Mayrhofen, in Hollenzen. There, was not only an enlarged production plant created, but also Tirol's first open dairy. On a surface area of 6000m², visitors are offered the chance to see the world of milk and cheese production at first hand.
